soul: a popped balloon

fleeting as it loses air

hospitalized in promises,

heart separated from pleasure,

office crucifying the lord

extreme images of strenuous

leers lies a distinguished diet,

fed on one’s own gluttony

he calls for better view

risked losing eternity

a glimmering dream

a contract of a reward

eternal praise diminished
